The DynaVap The M 7 is the flagship vaporizer in the DynaVap: a small stainless steel tube, without batteries or electronics, that you heat with a butane torch or an induction heater. When the cap reaches the right temperature, it makes a "click": remove the heat source and inhale. It is 92 mm long, weighs approximately 17 g, and has a 0.1 g chamber.
Who is the DynaVap M 7 for?
- Who wants a vaporizer that never runs out of battery: no battery, no charging, no display.
- For those using small doses of dry herbs: 0.1g chamber, halved with the adjust-a-bowl.
- For those looking for the most pocket-sized format of the M series: 92mm, the standard DynaVap.
- For those with a water filter: the mouthpiece fits into 10mm female joints without an adapter.
- For those who want to build their own DynaVap: tips, caps and stems from the range combine with each other.
Less suitable if you don't want to use a torch or inductor, if you're looking for a temperature that can be set to the degree or if you want a longer, cooler draw: in that case, look at the XL version.
The M7 is the device that made DynaVap a name for itself: a pen-sized vaporizer with no batteries, no electronics, and no display. The cap is heated with a torch lighter, and when the integrated bimetal cap clicks, the vaporization temperature is reached.
Design and materials
The M 7 is made of four parts, all stainless steel except the bimetallic cap:
- Captive Cap: the cap with the clicking disc.
- M 7 tip: contains the stainless steel CCD camera and grid, with 2 high temperature o-rings.
- Stem: Stainless steel with knurled surface for a secure grip.
- Condenser: stainless steel, with 2 o-rings.
According to DynaVap the M 7 series tip has more mass around the chamber to better retain heat and distribute it evenly, and a finless that reduces heat transfer to the stem by up to 20%. The cap connection has also been revised to allow more airflow. Airflow is adjusted with a finger on the side hole of the stem.
Heating and temperatures
Heat comes from outside. The bimetallic disc in the cap deforms when it heats up and makes a first click; when it cools, it makes a second click. DynaVap indicates the captive cap clicks at around 240°C (±10°C): this is the temperature of the cap, not a reading of the material in the chamber. There is also a Low Temp Cap, sold separately, which DynaVap clicks at around 215°C.
With a torch, the click occurs in a few seconds. DynaVap recommends about 5-7 seconds for the M 7 and specifies that steel tips take a little longer than titanium ones. The DynaVap guide describes torches as follows: the single flame is more precise and creates fewer hot spots, while the multi-flame one heats up faster and is easier to learn.
The click indicates the temperature, not the limit. rules DynaVap: do not heat beyond the first click, and if the click doesn't come after about 6 seconds, stop and let it cool.
Camera and loading
The M 7 tip's chamber holds 0.1 g of dry herb. TheAdjust-a-Bowl halves the chamber, making it useful when you want a smaller dose without leaving any empty space.
- Grind: medium or medium-fine, so the air passes through evenly.
- Filling: fill without pressing.
- Water filter: The mouthpiece fits 10mm female joints; for other sizes an adapter is required.
How to use: step by step
- Remove the cap and fill the chamber with ground herbs, without tamping.
- Replace the cap and hold the M 7 by the stem.
- Turn on the flashlight and hold it about 1 cm from the cap, aiming at the side, not the end.
- Roll the M 7 between your fingers as you heat, so the heat is distributed evenly.
- At the first click, remove the flame and inhale slowly, covering the side hole as much as necessary.
- Wait for the second click before heating again.
- Repeat until the steam is aromatic, then empty the chamber.
- Allow the cap and tip to cool before placing the M 7 back in the case.
Cleaning and maintenance
- After use: Empty the chamber and pass a cotton swab through the cap.
- Complete cleaning: Remove the tip, stem, and condenser and soak them in isopropyl alcohol or warm, soapy water for a few hours, then rinse with warm water. Use cotton swabs or pipe cleaners to remove any residue.
- Cap: Do not soak or put in the dishwasher; clean the inside with a cotton swab.
- O-rings: Alcohol dries them out. Remove them before bathing or moisturize them with DynaWax.
- Dishwasher safe: According to DynaVap , the metal parts are washable, but the cap is not.
- Stuck pieces: Run them under hot water, then twist and pull to separate them.
DynaVap M 7 comparison
M 7 vs M 7 XL
The DynaVap M 7 XL uses the same tip and cap, but has a longer condenser-mouthpiece assembly: 109 mm versus 92 mm. This allows for more vapor to travel, keeping your fingers further away from the hot zone; the condenser offers six adjustable draw settings. The M 7 is shorter and fits more easily in your pocket. If you're interested in titanium, there's also the M 7 XL Stealth.
M 7 vs B2
The DynaVap B2 is the entry-level model: a silicone stem with an anti-roll shape, a fixed 0.075g chamber without an adjust-a-bowl, and a lower price. The M7 is all steel, has a halving 0.1g chamber, and accepts the DynaVap M7 coils. The B2 is for trying out the system; the M7 is for those who know they'll be using it often.
The torch travels empty: it must be filled with butane lighter gas.
Warranty and assistance
DynaVap offers a limited lifetime warranty on tip, stem, and condenser defects. CCD grids, O-rings, and accessories are excluded, as are secondhand purchases and customized products. Caps have a separate limited lifetime warranty: a defective cap will be replaced with a standard, Captive, or Low Temp cap. If you purchased from us, please contact our store directly for warranty claims: we'll handle the matter with DynaVap. The 24-month legal guarantee of conformity provided for by the Consumer Code remains valid.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the M 7 and the M 7 XL?
The tip and cap are the same. The XL has a longer condenser mouthpiece (109 mm total vs. 92 mm), thus a longer vapor path.
Can I use it with an induction heater?
Yes. DynaVap refers to a butane torch or induction heater; the Ispire Wand with its adapter is listed as compatible with the M series.
I don't hear the click: what should I do?
If you don't hear it after about 6 seconds, stop and let it cool. Heat the side of the cap by rotating the M7, in a quiet place. If the problem persists, contact us.
Is the cap hot?
Yes, immediately after heating, the cap and tip are very hot. Hold the M 7 by the stem and let it cool before putting it away.
