Venty Vaporizer

The Venty is Storz and Bickel’s new portable weed vaporizer and it’s already one of my favorite vaporizers.

The Venty by Storz and Bickel is a hybrid conduction/convection dry herb vaporizer with incredibly fast heat-up times, the best battery life on the market, and produces powerful, flavorful, smooth vapor with very little effort.

The downside is that the Venty is expensive, and I'm not necessarily a big fan of the new device's size and weight. You can still fit the Venty in your pocket, but it's nowhere near as portable as other vaporizers. The Venty is aimed at those with deep pockets, both literally and figuratively.

In my opinion, the Venty is the best overall portable vaporizer I've had the pleasure of trying. I'm curious to see customer reviews, because I'm sure a lot of people will like it..

The Venty includes everything you need to get started. It doesn't require any accessories, but I like the Storz and Bickel carrying case to keep it safe while I'm on the go.

If you're the neat type or prefer precise doses, consider purchasing dosing capsules.

Finally, if you don't already have a fast wall charger, I highly recommend purchasing the USB-C Supercharger. With the Supercharger, the Venty can charge up to 80% in about 40 minutes. Charging using a regular USB-C adapter will take about 2-6 hours depending on the adapter, so the Supercharger is a HUGE improvement in charging times.

Build quality:

Overall, the build quality is exceptional and exactly what you'd expect from Storz and Bickel. It fits well in the hand, has a weight that feels quality, and the display is bright and easy to read.

The temperature buttons are quite stiff and don't offer much feel, but the power button has an excellent feel. The power button also doubles as a super-boost option, which I'll explore later in the Heating and Temperature Options section.

The outer casing is made of medical-grade and does a good job of cooling the unit during use. The top section (cooling unit) in particular, which cools the vapor as you inhale, is particularly noticeable. While not everyone likes plastic, the Crafty and Mighty are notoriously drop-resistant thanks to their impact-absorbing plastic shell, so I expect the Venty to take a few knocks without issue.

The Venty is rated IP X4 , which means it is “resistant to splashes of water from any direction.”

It may not seem like much, but the Venty can stand on its own! That's right, the Venty 's base provides a sturdy platform for loading the chambers, and you don't have to worry about it falling over. Something not common with all vaporizers from the same brand.

One last fun design feature is that the nozzle has a groove for your lower teeth, so if you bite down on the nozzle, you can use the vaporizer hands-free. I don't know when this might come in handy, but you never know.

Display and Haptic Feedback: Convenience and clarity at your fingertips

Speaking of practical details, the Venty boasts a very bright and easy-to-read LED display that clearly shows all the essential information: the selected temperature, battery level, and even the Bluetooth connection status. When the device reaches the temperature you've set, the screen changes color (for example, from orange to green), so you can immediately see when it's ready to use, without having to guess or wait.

Making everything even more convenient is the haptic feedback: a vibration that alerts you when the Venty has reached the desired temperature. This means you can leave it warming in your pocket or on the table while you do something else, confident that you'll be alerted at the right time. No more compulsively checking the screen!

Portability

As you probably know, one of the most important things about a portable vaporizer is whether it's truly portable. Can the vaporizer easily fit in your pocket for travel? How sturdy/durable is the device, and how unobtrusive is it when in use?

Portability : The Venty is a large device, and while it's not as wide as the Mighty Plus , it's definitely taller, thicker, and about 15 grams heavier, coming in at 252 grams . By comparison, the Crafty Plus weighs 135 grams, the Davinci IQC weighs about 160 grams, and the super-portable Pax Plus weighs 95 grams.

The exact dimensions of the Venty are 5.5cm wide x 15cm high and 3.7cm deep.

Discretion Venty 's slimmer profile helps with concealment of the device, but overall, if portability and concealment are your top priorities, you might want to consider something smaller like the Crafty Plus .

That said, none of the vaporizers I've compared here can hold a candle to the Venty's overall performance, battery life, vapor quality, or ease of use.

But the Venty is a bulkier device than other portable vaporizers.

The pro is that the Venty is extremely durable and has the longest battery life of any portable vaporizer currently on the market. So, while the Venty may not fit in your pocket, it will last longer and offer the best experience for solo or group use.

 

Heating and temperature options

Heating : The Venty uses a hybrid heating system with a newly designed mini-heater, which helps preheat the device in under 20 seconds. The Venty is the fastest-heating Storz and Bickel vaporizer and produces up to 120 watts at maximum power.

Trust me, you won't be able to overwork this vaporizer. It's basically a portable Volcano and more.

Temperature Options : The Venty offers a full temperature spectrum ranging from 40C to 210C, and you can change temperatures using the plus and minus buttons on the front of the Venty . The Venty also features a boost and super boost option, which increases the temperature above the base temperature.

Venty 's base temperature is 180°C. Double-pressing the power button will increase the base temperature by 15 degrees Celsius to 195°C. Double-pressing the power button again will superboost the temperature to 210°C. Boost and Superboost modes will remain active for 90 seconds before returning to the base temperature. Boost and Superboost modes can be changed via the web app.

User opinions on temperature control and boost function

User opinions on the temperature control system and the Boost function are quite varied. Some report that when using relatively low temperatures (for example, between 170°C and 190°C), steam production may be lower than expected, especially when using dosing pods. Some have noted that steam tends to drop off quickly, requiring frequent adjustments.

The Boost function has received mixed reviews. While the ability to quickly increase the temperature is a plus, some users find it counterintuitive that the device automatically returns to the base temperature after a short time. This automatic feature can be confusing, especially for those who want to maintain a higher temperature for a long time without having to manually adjust it each time.

Finally, while the temperature control is generally considered precise, some users find that customizing the airflow via the dial doesn't have a significant impact on the overall experience—many find themselves simply leaving it on the same setting.

Overall, the system offers good customization options, but not all users find the features have a noticeable impact on vapor quality.

One of the magics of the Venty is its ability to maintain a stable temperature throughout use, something many other vaporizers tend to lose as you take a longer or more intense draw. Essentially, the Venty uses an intelligent system that monitors and adjusts the temperature in real time every time you inhale, compensating for any increase in airflow.

The result? No more sudden drops in temperature that ruin your session: from the first to the last hit, your herbs are heated to the exact temperature you chose, with no surprises—and no waste. So you can rely on consistently consistent vaporization, whether you prefer small, quick hits or long, intense hits.

Vaporization chamber information

The Venty uses a ceramic-coated chamber and a stainless steel vapor path completely isolated from any electronic components. Storz and Bickel is one of the few manufacturers to certify their devices as medical grade , so you can rest assured that the materials used in the Venty are safe.

Dosing Pods : Last but not least, Storz and Bickel dosing pods are compatible with the Venty . S&B dosing pods work by confining the herb in an aluminum capsule, which helps keep the unit clean and allows for precise dosing. You can pre-load the dosing pods for quick changes on the go. Dosing pods are a great way to protect your device and keep things organized.

Personally, I don't use them because I feel they add a lot of resistance to the draw and conduction heat to the chamber, slightly reducing the overall vapor quality. The Venty does NOT come with dosing pods, so you'll need to order a set if you want to try them.

Steam Quality and Performance

Vapor Quality : I can honestly say that the Venty is one of the best tasting portable vaporizers on the market.

The hybrid heating system does a great job of delivering flavorful hits, with very little resistance and at a low temperature.

There are only a couple of purely convection vaporizers on the market that may yield slightly better flavor results, but they are much more difficult to use and not exactly suitable for casual users.

The best thing about the Venty and the rest of the Storz and Bickel line is that they're user-friendly. They're very easy to use and deliver consistent results without much effort. The same can't be said for purely convection portable vaporizers.

Performance : This is the highest-rated section for the Venty . Between the quick heat-up time of around 20 seconds, the extremely powerful heater, and the introduction of the new airflow selector, there is TRULY NO OTHER VAPORIZER that can compete with the Venty Venty vaporizer is in a league of its own.

There are smaller devices (the Pax Plus). There are purely convection vaporizers (Firefly 2+). There are portable devices with a massive battery (Arizer Solo 2). But NONE can come close to the overall performance, reliability, and ease of use of the Ventyvaporizer.

Last but not least, the new airflow selector makes the Venty one of the portable vaporizers with the lowest draw resistance on the market. It's practically like inhaling from a Volcano . There's literally no draw resistance, and you can draw as much as you want. I've never experienced such power in a portable vaporizer.

While I usually leave my airflow selector fully open, a cool trick is that you can close it completely while the device is not in use to reduce the odor that escapes.

Overall, the Venty is basically a portable version of a Volcano and will be more than sufficient for 99% of vape enthusiasts.

Effects

Many users choose Venty as a healthier alternative to traditional methods, but the biggest surprise comes with everyday experience: the steam produced is incredibly clean, free of unpleasant residues or lingering odors on clothes, hands, or the environment. This allows for use at home or with friends, without leaving visible traces or unpleasant aftertastes.

In terms of effect, there's none of the typical "head-thumping" that often scares less experienced users: the sensation is balanced, controllable, and sophisticated. A clear head and a general sense of well-being are appreciated, perfect for those seeking benefits without excess or unpleasant surprises.

In short, for those who are health-conscious or want a cleaner lifestyle, this vaporizer represents a real game changer: no smoke, no compromises, and a whole new—and refined—way to experience it.

Battery and Charging Information

Battery Information : The Venty is currently, by far, the best portable vaporizer when it comes to overall battery life and charging times. The Venty uses two non-replaceable 18650 lithium-ion batteries capable of producing 130 watts and 16 amps. By comparison, the Mighty + peaks at 40 watts. Nothing else in this niche comes close to the Venty .

Battery Life and Charging : I average 10-14 sessions on a full charge, and the Venty can charge up to 80% of its battery in 40 minutes with the USB-C Supercharger ( not included ). If you're thinking about purchasing the Venty , I highly, HIGHLY recommend getting the Supercharger. Charging times without it are about 2-6 hours, so that's a huge difference.

Most portable vaporizers can last up to five sessions before the battery dies, and you'll need to charge for much longer than 40 minutes. What Storz and Bickel has accomplished with the new Ventyis truly impressive. Sure, the Venty is a bit larger than most other portable dry herb vaporizers, but the performance more than makes up for it.

The only other vaporizer that can compete in terms of battery life is the Arizer Solo 2 MAX , and it's more of a home device with the option of taking it on the go. The Venty is truly a portable vaporizer with industry-leading battery life, charging times, and overall performance.

Storz & Bickel Web App The Venty vaporizer is Bluetooth-enabled and can be connected to the Storz & Bickel web app for additional customization and functionality. From the app, you can adjust Boost and Superboost settings, adjust haptic feedback, set charging limits, and adjust display brightness. The Venty will also track total usage in hours. Bluetooth also allows for firmware updates should the Venty require any future fixes.

You can access the Storz and Bickel web app through the iOS app called BLUEFLY. The Bluefly app allows you to connect to your phone's browser via Bluetooth and make changes within the app.

I have to say, however, that the app is an “extra” that can definitely be done without.

Comparisons

Honestly, I don't think anything can compete with the Venty vaporizer in terms of overall performance, battery life, charging, airflow, ease of use, and reliability.

The Venty has truly garnered widespread acclaim for its excellent build quality, extraordinary ease of use, and above all, its top-notch performance: the adjustable airflow is truly revolutionary, heat-up is incredibly fast, and vapor production is rich and satisfying. Users—myself included—highlight the battery life and superior vaping experience, which stands out even compared to historic models like the Mighty and Crafty.

However, there are other vaporizers that produce better vapor quality thanks to 100% convection heating, and there are certainly smaller vaporizers suited for portability and discretion.

Keep in mind that fully convection-heated vaporizers aren't at all user-friendly and require some technique to get the best results. Additionally, most smaller portable vaporizers use fully conduction heating, which doesn't offer the same vapor quality as a hybrid or fully convection device.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The Venty is one of the easiest vaporizers to use and maintain, but there are several small chambers and parts that need to be cleaned inside the cooling unit.

You may begin to realize that your Venty needs cleaning when the airflow begins to decrease, and the unit is no longer as free-flowing as it was when you first used it. Over time, debris and grass clippings will accumulate in the various screens and chambers inside the cooling unit.

The entire cooling unit can be disassembled, and there are detailed instructions on how to do so in the manual and in video instructions via the Storz and Bickel website.

Overall, the Venty can be used for a fairly long time without cleaning, but it will take some time to disassemble the cooling unit, soak the parts in isopropyl alcohol for a while, clean everything, let it dry, and reassemble it. You can also use Storz and Bickel dosing capsules to help keep the unit clean longer, but debris and weed residue will still get into the cooling unit and will need to be cleaned.

Conclusions

Well, if you haven't noticed already, I really like the Ventyvaporizer, and it's been my most used portable vaporizer ever since I got my hands on it. Aside from the great vapor quality, incredible flow, industry-leading battery life, and impressively fast heat-up and charge times… I choose it because IT'S THE EASIEST TO USE.

There are no sophisticated loading techniques, no special inhalation methods, and no stirring required; just load and draw. It's really that simple. You can load any amount into the chamber, with any consistency. I've loaded even just 0.1 grams of ground coffee with no problem, and I've dropped a whole 0.2-gram bean without grinding, and it still delivers the same great experience.

The only downside to the Ventyvaporizer, as you may have gathered by now, is its size. The Venty is a large and heavy portable vaporizer, and while it can fit in a pocket, it's not the most practical solution for pants pockets. The Venty fits better in a fanny pack or loose-fitting shorts/pants. As I mentioned in the introduction, the Venty is the best vaporizer for those with deep pockets. Literally and figuratively.

Overall, Storz and Bickel nailed it with the Ventyvaporizer. I really appreciate the quick heat-up time, and the airflow on this device is insane. I can draw as hard as I can without any resistance, which is wonderful. Most portable vaporizers have a decent amount of draw resistance, and the Venty is like drawing air through a straw.

The new king of portable vaporizers has probably arrived.
